How is Zakat Calculated?

Zakat is calculated on your "Zakatable Assets" after deducting your immediate liabilities. The formula used in this calculator is:

(Total Assets - Total Debts) × 2.5% = Zakat Payable

What Assets are Included?

  • Gold & Silver: Jewellery, bars, or coins.
  • Cash: Money at home or in bank accounts.
  • Business Stock: Goods bought for the intention of resale.
  • Investments: Shares or property bought for resale (Trade).

Note: Personal items like your house (where you live), car, clothes, and furniture are NOT subject to Zakat.
